About the Artist
I grew up outside of Philadelphia. My love of art began in elementary school. As I got older, I moved away from painting for awhile, but rediscovered my interest while in college. Through formal painting classes, I developed my understanding of style and form. My studio is located near the beautiful surroundings of historic Bucks County, PA, where I am inspired by natures splendor.
My true inspiration, however, is my love of animals. Over the years I have had a variety of pets from iguanas and geese to ducks and gerbils. I have seen many "friends" come and go and understand the hardship that these losses bring. In spite of the sometimes hectic living arrangements, our lives would be nowhere near as rich without the animals we love. Currently, my husband and I have opened our hearts and our home to a Great Dane (Hannah) and two English Mastiffs (Mia and Kayla). Additionally, our pets provide me with constant animal subjects at my fingertips! Look for pictures of our pets as you peruse the website.
As a pet owner, I know the unique bond humans have with their animals. Pets bring a special peace and uncomplicated love into our lives and ask for nothing in return. I began painting my own pets and the pets of my friends and family to honor this relationship and discovered the comfort and joy that the paintings brought to them.
I now look forward to sharing with you the characteristics that make your pet unique. Through your photographs and descriptions of your pet, I will create an original oil painting of your pet that will both enhance your décor and immortalize a lifetime of memories.
